Denarius of Boleslaw III Krzywousty (prince of Poland; ca. 1086–1138). Obverse: in the beaded border, a knight in chain mail thrusting a spearhead into the jaws of an upside-down dragon; iconography includes spearhead, chain mail, equal-armed cross, crosses, martyrs, knight, dragons, dragon, jaws, fight between good and evil, fight against pagans, spears, Adalbert (Saint; ca. 956–997). Reverse: in the triple beaded border, an isosceles cross topped with balls; at the intersection of the arms a ball, between them one ball (one with a dot), and in one quarter, next to the central ball, a dot. Romanesque style; ca. 1125–1138, Poland, Kraków. Coin; diameter 11.2–11.7 mm; weight 0.35 g.
