Denarius of Boleslaw III Krzywousty (prince of Poland; 1086–1138). Obverse: in a linear border, a knight in chain mail thrusting a spearhead into the jaws of an upside-down dragon; between the border and the dragon's body, a ball. Reverse: in a triple beaded border, an isosceles cross topped with balls (one with a dot); at the intersection of the arms, a ball; between them, a single sun. Iconography: equal-armed cross, spearhead, chain mail, jaws, knight, dragon, fight between good and evil/fight against pagans, martyrs, Adalbert (Saint; ca. 956–997). Romanesque style. Date ca. 1125–1138. Kraków, Poland. Coin; diameter 12.9–13.2 mm; weight 0.63 g.
