Denarius, Boleslaw III Krzywousty (prince of Poland; 1107–1138). Obverse: in a beaded border, a knight in chain mail thrusting a spearhead into the jaws of an upside-down dragon. Reverse: in a triple beaded border, an isosceles cross topped with balls; at the intersection of the arms a ball, with one ball between the arms. Romanesque style; allegorical scene of fight between good and evil, martyrs, Saint Adalbert (ca. 956–997), fight against pagans. Issuer: Boleslaw III Krzywousty (prince of Poland; 1086–1138). Issue mark: spearhead. Materials: coin. Date: ca. 1125–1138. Place: Poland, Kraków. Diameter: 11.3–12.1 mm. Weight: 0.40 g.
