Denarius of Boleslaw III Krzywousty (prince of Poland; ca. 1107–1138). Obverse: in the linear border, a knight in chain mail thrusting a spearhead into the jaws of an upside-down dragon; one ball on either side of the knight's right elbow. In the triple beaded border, an isosceles cross topped with balls; a ball at the intersection of the arms; between the arms one ball (two of them with a single dot). Iconography: spearhead, equal-armed cross, chain mail, crosses, mouth, martyrs, knight, dragons, Romanesque style, fight between good and evil, fight against pagans, spear, Saint Adalbert. ca. 1125–1138, Poland, Kraków. Coin; diameter 12.8 mm; weight 0.52 g.
