Denarius, Boleslaw III Krzywousty (prince of Poland; 1107–1138). Obverse: in a linear border, a knight in chain mail thrusting a spearhead into the jaws of an upside-down dragon. Reverse: in a triple beaded border, an isosceles cross topped with balls; between its arms, one ball (two of them with one dot). Iconography: allegories, spearhead (issue mark), chain mail, crosses, equal-armed cross, mouth, martyrs, knight, Romanesque style, dragons, fight between good and evil, Saint Adalbert (ca. 956–997), fight against pagans, spears. Date: ca. 1125–1138. Place: Kraków, Poland. Object: coin (denarius). Diameter: 12.7 mm. Weight: 0.39 g.
