Denarius, Boleslaw III Krzywousty (prince of Poland; 1107–1138), ca. 1125–1138. Obverse: in the beaded border, a knight in chain mail thrusting a spearhead into the jaws of an upside-down dragon; a dot above the knight's left foot. Reverse: in the triple beaded border, an isosceles cross topped with balls, with one ball between its arms. Iconography: allegories, spearhead (issue mark), equal-armed cross, crosses, chain mail, martyrs, jaws, knight, Romanesque style, dragons, fight between good and evil, fight against pagans, Adalbert (Saint; ca. 956–997), spears. Coin (Poland, Kraków), diameter 12.3–12.7 mm, weight 0.40 g.
