Denarius of Boleslaw III Krzywousty (Prince of Poland; 1086–1138), ca. 1125–1138. Obverse: within a beaded border, a knight in chain mail driving a spearhead into the mouth of an upside-down dragon. Reverse: within a triple beaded border, an equal-armed cross topped with balls (two of them with one dot each) and one ball between its arms (two of them with one dot). Allegorical iconography; spearhead issue mark. Coin, Kraków, Poland. Diameter 11.3–12.1 mm; weight 0.39 g.
