Denarius of Boleslaw III Krzywousty (prince of Poland; c. 1086–1138). Obverse: within a beaded border, a knight in chain mail thrusting a spearhead into the jaws of an upside-down dragon. Reverse: within a triple beaded border, an isosceles cross topped with balls; between its arms, one ball (three of them with one dot). Iconography: chain mail, spearhead, equal-armed cross, crosses, mouth, knight, dragon, martyrs, fight between good and evil, Adalbert (Saint; c. 956–997), fight against pagans. Style: Romanesque. Date: c. 1125–1138. Place: Poland, Kraków. Coin (denarius). Diameter: 12.9–13.3 mm. Weight: 0.57 g.
