Livonian half-mark (half-fine), Sigismund II Augustus (king of Poland; 1544–1572), (interregnum), Jan Hieronimowicz Chodkiewicz (ca. 1537–1579), (administrator of Livonia), publishers Walentyn Iberfeld (fl. 1572–1573) and Jakub Hincza (fl. 1572–1573). Obverse: below the inscription 'HALB/MARCK' two heraldic shields with the Eagle and Pogon; below the year '.1573.'; rim inscription '.MONE.NOVA.ARGENTEA'. Reverse: Gryf with a raised sword turned to the left separating the rim inscription '.DVCATVS, LIVONIAE, 1573'. Heraldic imagery: Gryf with Sword (coat of arms; Inflanty), coats of arms, gryphons, Jagiellons (dynasty), Eagle (coat of arms), Pogon (coat of arms).
