Lithuanian half-grosz, Sigismund I the Old (king of Poland; 1506–1548). Silver coin (half-grosz), 1509. Obverse: Pursuer (Pogonia) turned left; rim between pearl borders with inscription '+ COIN:SIGISMV, DI.1509:'. Reverse: Polish crowned eagle; rim between pearl borders with inscription '+ MAGNI:DVCIS:LITVANIE'. Style: early 16th-century Jagiellon coinage; emblems include eagle and Pursuer. Place: Vilnius, Grand Duchy of Lithuania (Poland–Lithuania).
