Lithuanian half-grosz, Sigismund I the Old (King of Poland; 1506–1548), 1514. Silver coin (half-grosz) from the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, struck in Vilnius. Obverse: Pogon (Lithuanian mounted knight) turned left; in the rim between pearl borders an inscription: + COIN, MVNDI:1514. Reverse: Polish crowned eagle; in the rim between pearl borders an inscription: + MAGNI:DVCIS:LITVA. Features coats of arms: Pogon and Polish eagle; Jagiellon dynasty.
