Bronze coin from Gorgippia (Cimmerian Bosporus), 1st quarter of the 1st century BC (95–65 BC according to Frolov). Obverse: head of Attys in a Phrygian cap decorated with stars and wearing a laurel wreath, facing right; a crescent and star at the top. Reverse: Dionysus in a short robe standing three-quarters to the left, holding a bunch of grapes in his right hand; a thyrsus with a ribbon in the left field; a panther seated to the left at Dionysus's feet with its head turned; a monogram in the right field; inscription in two rows on the sides. Iconography: Attys, Dionysus, panthers, crescent with star, male head, monograms. Coin type: bronze; weight 16.90 g; diameter ~28.1–30 mm.
