Obverse: male bust of Frederick William I Hohenzollern (Great Elector of Brandenburg; Duke of Prussia; 1620–1688) facing right in mitre and electoral mantle, holding a sceptre in his right hand with left resting on a sword hilt. The sceptre and the figure's head divide the inner border and the inscription; in the rim between the borders the inscription is divided by the lessee's sign 'FRID.WILH.VGGMAR - GR.ZU.BRANDE -'. Under the ducal mitre, a five-field coat of arms with ornaments; to the left of the shield the numerals '18'; below, on both sides of the shield, the engraver's mark 'N. - B.'. In the rim between the borders an inscription divided by the mitre 'DHRRERTZ.C.UC.ZMIPR.ZGCUBH16. - 57'. Date: 1657. Place: Ducal Prussia (1525–1701), Königsberg.
