Obverse: male bust of Frederick William I Hohenzollern (Great Elector of Brandenburg; Duke of Prussia; 1620–1688) facing right in mitre and electoral mantle; a sceptre in his right hand, left resting on a sword hilt. Sceptre and head divide inner border and inscription; rim inscription divided by the mitre. Under the ducal mitre, a five-field coat of arms with ornaments; left side of shield marked “18”; below on both sides the engraver’s mark “N. - B.” Rim inscription (divided) reads DHRRERTZ.C.UC.ZMIPR.ZGCUBH16. - 57. Coin: diameter 30.6 mm, weight 6.77 g, axis 0°.
