Issued under Jan Hieronimowicz Chodkiewicz (ca. 1537–1579), administrator of Livonia; publishers Walentyn Iberfeld and Jakub Hincza (fl. 1572–1573). Silver coin (half-mark), 1573. Obverse: below the inscription: H, LB/MARCK and two heraldic shields with the Eagle and Pogon; below the year: .1573.; rim inscription: .MONE.NOVA.ARGENTEA; reverse: a griffin with a raised sword turned to the left separating the rim inscription: . - DVCATVS.LIVONIAE. Heraldic elements: Gryf z Smierz (coat of arms; Inflanty), griffins, Jagiellonians (dynasty), Pogon, Eagle. Axis 45 degrees.
