Teutonic groschen, Frederick of Saxony (Grand Master; 1498–1510), publisher Wesner, Hans (fl. 1480–?), iconography: cross with elongated arms, Teutonic shield, monastic shield of the Grand Master, Saxon coat of arms; Teutonic Knights (order). Obverse: monastic shield of the Grand Master with a cross whose elongated, widening arms divide the ring legend and reach the outer rim; the upper arm of the cross reaches the edge of the shield, above it on the rim a Saxon coat of arms beginning the ring legend. Reverse: monastic shield with a cross with elongated arms dividing the ring legend and reaching the outer rim; in the rim between the pearl borders there is an inscription. Date: 1498–1510. State of the Teutonic Order (1226–1525), Königsberg. Coin: diameter 20.8 mm, weight 1.18 g, axis 290°.
