Legend: '5 EX AURO SOLIDO CIVITAS GEDANENSIS FIERI FECIT.' Maker: Gerhard Rogge (fl. 1639–1657). Polish coin; diameter ~47–47.3 mm, weight 18.32 g, axis 0°., A round gold-colored medallion with a twisted decorative edge, showing an engraved scene of a skyline with spires and towers and a stylized sun with rays and a small triangular motif above a band of cloud; the central area includes an ornamental crest flanked by two figures and decorative borders around the scene; the surface and edge are metallic gold with slight variations in sheen and darker patina in some recessed areas.
