The Grand Cross of the Order of the Polish Canonesses of Warsaw, an equal-armed cross with a grand Baroque form, the arms forming the axes of a four-field coat of arms of the Republic of Poland. The spaces between the arms, enclosed by arabesque connectors, form fields containing openwork coats of arms of the Crown and Lithuania, the Eagle, and the Tail alternately placed heraldically. At the intersection of the arms on the obverse is a movable shield-shaped plaque with the Korczak coat of arms on an amaranth enamel background; it is hinged on the right and has two small holes for pegs. The reverse of the plaque retains remnants of enamel. Beneath the plaque is an oval reliquary containing remains of St. Adelaide. On the reverse at the intersection is a plaque showing Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception on a blue background. The cross is topped with an openwork crown bearing a suspension ring.
