The Grand Cross of the Order of the Polish Canonesses of Warsaw, an equal-armed cross with a grand baroque artistic form, the arms of which form the axes of a four-field coat of arms of the Republic of Poland. The spaces between the arms of the cross, enclosed by arabesque connectors, form fields in which the openwork coats of arms of the Crown and Lithuania, the Eagle, and the Tail are alternately placed heraldically. In the center, at the intersection of the arms, on the obverse side, is a plaque in the form of a shield with the Korczak coat of arms, the background of which is in amaranth enamel. This plaque is movable, hinged on the right side, and has two small holes, at the top and bottom, for pegs to hold it closed. The reverse of the plaque contains remnants of enamel. Under the plaque is an oval reliquary containing remains of St. Adelaide. On the reverse side, at the intersection of the arms, a plaque with the image of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception on a blue background. The cross is topped with an openwork crown, in which a ring for suspending the order is mounted. Date: 1744, Place: Poland, Function: order insignia.
