Gold crown of Stanislaw August Poniatowski (King of Poland; 1764–1795), 1794. Obverse: Head of Stanislaw August, inscription around the rim “STANISLAUS AUG. D. G. REX POL. MDL.” Reverse: Under a crown, a five-field coat of arms with the coats of arms of Poland (Eagle), Lithuania (Pogon) and the Poniatowski family (Ciolek); on the sides the date 17–94; at the bottom letters “MV” and “4.GR.” Around it an inscription divided by a crown: “83½ EX MARCA-PURA COLON.” Edge obliquely ribbed. Coin of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth (1569–1795). Diameter ~26.4–26.6 mm; weight 5.35 g.
