Lithuanian obol, Sigismund II Augustus (King of Poland; 1544–1572), Jagiellonians (dynasty). Silver coin (obol) from the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, 1546, struck in Vilnius. Obverse: in the rim under the ducal mitre a tied monogram composed of the letters S A R w; in the rim a shield with the Columns of Gediminas coat of arms; on the sides the date 15 - 46 (1546). Diameter 11.3–12.5 mm; weight 0.35 g.
