Bronze coin, Pantikapaion; 1st quarter of the 1st century BC (95–65 BC according to Frolov 2002 and 1999); Cimmerian Bosporus. Obverse: head of Attys in a Phrygian cap decorated with stars and in a laurel wreath facing right; at the top a crescent and a star. Reverse: Dionysus in a short robe standing three-quarters left, holding a bunch of grapes in his right hand and a thyrsus with a ribbon in his left; a panther sits left at his feet with its head turned; monogram at right field; inscription in two rows on the sides. Iconography: panthers, standing Dionysus, head of Attys, crescent with a star, head of Men, grapes, plants, male head; monograms. Coin type: dia. 30.6–31.2 mm, weight 18.60 g, axis 0°.
