Porcelain teapot with a spherical belly tapering toward the base and flattened at the top, with a recessed flat lid topped by a pine-cone–shaped handle. Bipartite handle with plastic rocaille, mounted on the belly with volutes. Zoomorphic spout with relief acanthus-leaf motifs and a spout-head with a wide open mouth. Both sides of the body feature cartouche frames showing two purple draperies suspended from the sides by small bouquets of flowers and dry rocailles, topped and bottomed on the symmetry axis by brick-red draperies suspended by plant branches. Within the cartouches are purple camaieu miniature landscapes with architecture: (1) a building with a defensive wall; (2) half-timbered buildings with a tower and a three-span bridge. Small colorful ornamental plant motifs under the handle and spout; two woodcut flowers and two insects on the top of the lid; a small branch with a blue flower on the belly above the spout. Spout, handle, and edges of the lid are gilded. Paint chip near the bouquet of one cartouche. Dimensions: height 10.5 cm; width 19 cm; depth 9.5 cm.
