Bed with S-shaped outward-curving pediments of equal height and straight side boards, supported by four carved, gilded legs in the form of furry animal paws. Mahogany, with frame pediments having single panels, strong upturns at the top and simple bottoms, connected to the sides with screws and hooks. Upper corners of the sides arch into the pediment frames; inner bottom has glued-on toothed strips supporting the cross slats under the mattress. One pediment veneered on the outside with ash stained mahogany. Empire style, 1815–1830, Warsaw, Central Europe. Dimensions: height 103 cm, width 192 cm, depth 94.5 cm.
