Print; height 32 cm, width 45.2 cm., A detailed monochrome engraving shows an ornate stone sarcophagus elevated on a group of plinths, with carved lion head rings along its sides and decorative scrollwork on the lid and panels; the lid is angled and bears carved decorative motifs and a few relief medallions, and a group of braided wreaths and flowing ribbons hangs above it held by a pair of hands emerging from clouds at the left and right, while heavy cloud forms fill the upper corners. The scene includes architectural elements such as fluted pilasters and stepped bases framing the background, a patterned floor beneath the plinths, and a small cherub relief on one end of the sarcophagus; the image is rendered in shades of black, gray, and off-white.
