The image shows Saint Anthony of Padua kneeling before the baby Jesus who appears to him in a cloud. The composition is enclosed in a double linear frame. The engraving was made by Father Stanislaw Czerski in Salanty, Samogitia. As a parish priest, with the help of a young assistant he adopted, he devoted himself to engraving images of saints with Samogitian inscriptions: he engraved these images for his parishioners, who, as inhabitants of Samogitia, knew no other language. 1822–1832.
