SM Magdalena P. (Saint Mary Magdalene), Czerski, Stanislaw (1777-1833), graphic artist, Mary Magdalene (Saint), devotional depictions, crucifixes, saints, halos, flowers, skulls, religious paintings. The image shows Saint Mary Magdalene, visible in a bust, a crucifix in her hands, at the bottom (under the inscription) a skull in a tuft of grass and flowers. The engraving was made by Father Stanislaw Czerski in Salanty in Samogitia. 'As a parish priest, with the help of a young assistant he adopted, he devoted himself to engraving images of saints with Samogitian inscriptions: because he only engraved these images for his parishioners, who, as inhabitants of pure Samogitia, do not know any other language. The above-mentioned plates, together with the press and all the tools for imprinting them, were transferred to Vilnius after his death.' 1822–1832, graphic, graphic matrix, graphic plate, height 9.9 cm, width 6.9 cm
