I:\nmw crop ready cleaned\Subject and description: Devotional engraving depicting the Holy Family and the Holy Trinity. Three figures stand in a landscape: St. Joseph holding a lily, Mary with a book, and the infant Jesus in the center holding both of their hands. At their feet are two kneeling, praying faithful. In the clouds above appear God the Father and the dove of the Holy Spirit surrounded by a circle of angels. Composition enclosed in a double linear frame with a separate field for an inscription at the bottom. Inscription: 'Jesus Matris deliciae, Jesus Patris solatium.' The engraving bears the engraver's name 'Firens.' Part of a series of graphic devotional compositions produced in monastery engraving workshops and by foreign publishing/engraving houses.
