View of Kamieniec Podolski. Engraver and draughtsman: Cyprian Tomaszewicz (fl. ca. 1672–1673). Bird's-eye view plan of the city and fortress on the Smotrycz River loop as it appeared in 1672, showing siege damage and Turkish alterations (including St. John's Church converted into the Grand Vizier's Mosque), points where the Turks breached the city (mine site and moat breach), and the castle and bastion fortifications (New Castle built under Sigismund III and Wladyslaw IV). One of the first and most important plans of the Kamieniec Podolski fortress; Tomaszewicz prepared and published it after fleeing to Kraków following the city's capture by the Turks in 1672, dedicating it to Bishop Andrzej Trzebicki. Fortress remained in Turkish hands until 1699. Date: 1672–1673. Medium: graphic print. Dimensions: approx. 31.4 × 43.6 cm (other impression 34.7 × 45.7 cm).
