Depicts a Yakut woman in rich costume with a child seated behind her on an ox; background shows mountains and a yurt. Nemirovsky produced documentary drawings, watercolors, and oils during an 1844–45 scientific expedition from Irkutsk (route via Okhotsk to Kamchatka and overland through Koryak, Chukchi, and Yakut areas). He was sentenced to 20 years' hard labor and spent time in Tobolsk and Irkutsk.
