Album includes views such as Tsarskoye Selo, Peterhof, St. Petersburg, Palermo, etc. Steel engraving with Cyrillic inscriptions at the bottom and signatures on the right: Floid, Branderd, Godert. Subject: Pechersk Lavra — monastery founded mid-11th century by monks Anthony and Theodosius; original monastery built in caves on the Dnieper slopes. Monastery complex acquired its present appearance in the 17th–18th centuries with Ukrainian Baroque expansions featuring numerous turrets, ornate gables and decorations, and exterior frescoes depicting historical and ecclesiastical figures. Materials/technique: graphic print/album plate. Date: 1835–1850., A grayscale printed landscape showing an elevated view of a group of ornate buildings and churches with domes and spires set behind terraces of trees and walls, with darker shaded foliage in the foreground and lighter sky above. The composition includes several clustered structures with towers and detailed rooflines, bridges or walls connecting sections, and a layered hillside receding toward a distant horizon. Visible colors are shades of black, white, and gray.
