Visible on the edge of the hill on the left is the Hunger Wall built on the order of Charles IV in the 14th century; legend has it that it was built to provide work and income to the unemployed, but Charles IV intended to expand the Malá Strana district. The composition is enclosed in a decorative frame made of parallel rods entwined in the corners with blooming morning glory. At the bottom, a ribbon with an inscription. 1840–1850.
