Hillmacher lists 3 states of the engraving: I — pure etching, face almost completely white; composition rounded at the bottom, inscription 'Rembrandt fec. 1646' (signature disappeared after the plate was cut); II — head and clothes shaded, no date, 1779, oval lower edge not cut off; III — date 1779 at the top, plate ovalized at the top, straight bottom edge. Smolik notes it is a copy of Rembrandt's work (Bartsch 1.297). 1779, print/graphic matrix/graphic plate. Dimensions: height 3.7 cm, width 3.2 cm, thickness 0.1 cm.
