Obverse: bust of Hormizd IV facing right, wearing a crown decorated with a diadem; star to the right and a star in a crescent to the left; triangle composed of three dots above the ear and as an earring, beads on the neck and a central triangle of three dots; pearl rim; symbol of the cosmos above the crown; crescents with stars at bottom and sides; Pahlavi inscription. Reverse: burning altar; to its left the ruler/Arsaces stands facing forward with a sword, to its right a priest stands facing forward holding a sword; star at top left and crescent at top right; signs/monograms on both sides; pearl rim; Pahlavi inscription. 579–590, Persia; coin; weight 4.20 g.
