drachma, Khosroes II Anoshirvan (ruler of Persia; 531–579); obverse: bust of Khosroes I facing right wearing a crown on a diadem, crescent with a star to the right, a star to the left; short curly beard, hair tied back in a lock, beads on the neck (central one three triangular beads) and a second long chain around the neck, earring of three triangular beads; outside the rim three crescents; Pahlavi legend. Reverse: fire altar; left of altar the ruler stands facing forward with a sword, right of altar a priest stands facing forward holding a sword; top left a star, top right a crescent, signs/monograms on both sides; pearl rim; Pahlavi legend.
