Drachma, Khosroes II Anoshirvan (ruler of Persia; 531–579). Obverse: bust of Khosroes I facing right; crown topped with a korymbos, crescent with a star on the right, star on the left; short curly beard, hair tied back in a lock; beads on his neck with a central three-triangular-bead pendant and an additional long chain; earring of three triangular beads; outside the rim three crescents; Pahlavi legend. Reverse: fire altar; left the ruler facing forward holding a sword, right a priest facing forward holding a sword; star at top left, crescent at top right; signs/monograms on both sides; pearl rim; Pahlavi legend. Sassanid art/style, Sassanid Kingdom, Iran/Persia; dated 537–579. Coin: diameter 28.5 × 29.0 mm, weight 4.00 g.
