Obv.: bust of Kavadh I facing right; on his head a crown with a crescent and korymbos, a crescent in front of the crown, stars on either side, short curly beard, curly hair tied back, an earring in his ear, beads and a long chain around his neck, ribbons flowing from behind his shoulders, crescents on both sides of the bust; outside the rim, three crescents with a star in the center. Pahlavi legend. Rev.: fire altar; to its left the ruler stands facing forward with a sword in his hand, to the right a priest stands facing forward holding a sword, above left a star, above right a crescent, with signs/monograms on both sides; pearl rim.
