Gdansk ducat, John II Casimir Vasa (King of Poland; 1648–1668), struck 1662. Maker: Daniel Lesse (1656–1685). Obverse: crowned right-profile bust of the king wearing the Order of the Golden Fleece, within a rope rim inscribed 'IOH.CAS.DGR POL.& SUEC.MDLRP'. Reverse: coat of arms held by two lions, a wreath with a flower at top, a cartouche dividing the letters 'DL' at bottom, within a corded rim inscribed 'MON:AUREA CIVITAT.GEDANENS.1662'. Material: coin; weight 3.44 g.
