Ducat, Jan (Duke of Ziebice-Olesnica; 1536–1565). Silesia, Olesnica. Obverse: bust of Duke Jan with long beard, in rich attire, facing left, within a pearl rim; rim inscription divided by a rosette: IOHAN.DGDVX.MVNST.SLE.OLS.COM.GLA*. Reverse: within a pearl rim, five coats of arms of the Duchy of Ziebice-Olesnica (two Silesian eagles; a chessboard; diagonal stripes; and a heart field with horizontal stripes — the Silesian coat of arms and the diagonal and horizontal stripes also represent Zloty Stok and the Podebradowicz family); date 15-65 at left and right of the field. Inscription divided by a rosette between two pearl rims: MONETA.AVREA.NOVA.REICHSTEIN, 1565. Duchy of Olesnica (1313–1884). Coin; diameter 21.8 mm; weight 3.53 g.
