Obverse: Crowned male royal bust in armor turned right, inscription in a half-circle 'SIGIS - AVG.REX' above and '.POLO.MAG./.DVX.L.' in two lines at bottom. Reverse: Lithuanian Pogon (coat of arms) turned left, below a crown dividing the date '15 - 48', a tied monogram composed of the letters SA and the Columns of Gediminas (coat of arms of Lithuania), with rim inscription 'MONETA.MAGNI.DVCA.LITVA'. Jagiellon dynasty; iconography includes emblems, monograms (tied monogram SA). Minted in Vilnius, Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Coin; diameter approx. 22.5–23.0 mm; weight 1.9 g.
