Lithuanian grosz on a Polish foot, Sigismund II Augustus (King of Poland; 1544–1572), Jagiellon dynasty; obverse: crowned male bust in armour turned right, separating an inscription in a half-circle at the top: SIGIS. - AVG.R, at the bottom horizontally in two lines: .POLO.M, /.DVX.L; reverse: Lithuanian chaser facing left, below under the crown a tied monogram composed of the letters SA and the Columns of Gediminas coat of arms, which divide the inscription in the rim: ONE.MAG.DVC.LITVA.1546; dated 1546; Grand Duchy of Lithuania, Vilnius; coin; diameter ca. 22.5–23.0 mm; weight 1.91 g.
