Lithuanian grosz on a Polish foot, Sigismund II Augustus (King of Poland; 1544–1572). Polish coin, 1567, Vilnius, Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Obverse: Crowned male royal bust in armor turned right, separating the inscription in a half-circle at the top: .SIGIS - AVG.REX; at the bottom horizontally in two lines: POLO, MAG./.DVX.LI. Reverse: Lithuanian Pogon (horseman) turned left; below, under the crown, the date 15 - 67 and a tied monogram composed of the letters SA and the Columns of Gediminas coat of arms; rim inscription: MONETA.MAGNI.DVCA.LI. Attributes: Jagiellonian dynasty, coats of arms, male/royal bust, monograms, tied monogram, SA monogram. Diameter approx. 22.8–23.3 mm; weight 1.74 g.
