Gdansk half-thaler in gold - 4 ducats, Wladyslaw IV Vasa (king of Poland; 1632–1648), Rogge, Gerhard (fl. 1639–1657). Obv.: in a corded border the bust of the king facing right wearing a crown and decorative armour, with a lace collar and the Order of the Golden Fleece, interrupted at the top by rim inscription: VLAD.IIII.DGREX.POL.&SVEC.MDLIT.RVS.PR. Reverse: in a corded border an oval shield with the coat of arms of Gdansk held by two lions, at the bottom in a cartouche the date 1641, on the sides the letters G - R.
