Ducat (1595). Maker: Filip Klüwer (fl. 1588–1601). Obverse: within a beaded border, a bust of King Sigismund III Vasa in crown and armor, with a lying ruff and a lion's head on his shoulder, interrupting the legend: SIGISMVND.III .D:G:REX.POL.D:PRVS. Reverse: within a beaded border, two lions supporting a shield with the coat of arms of Gdansk; above it a monogram with the letters P, K. Around the rim: MONE.NO.AVR.CIVI.GEDANENSIS.95. Mint master's mark on the rim: a hand with a dagger. Materials/function: Polish coin, weight 3.46 g, axis 90 degrees. Location/mint: Gdansk, Poland.
