Thaler; Ernest Pfahler, Koch, Dawid, publisher; coats of arms; male busts in armour; George William Hohenzollern (Elector of Brandenburg; Duke of Prussia; 1620–1640) — iconography. Obv.: torso facing right in collar and decorative armour girded with a sash, sceptre in right hand, helmet with raised visor and plume in left hand; the figure's head divides the inner border. In the rim, between the borders, an inscription beginning with a cross with plant motifs: GEORG.WILH:D:G:MARCHI:BRAN:SAC:ROM:IMP:ARCHIC:E:EL:D:PRVS. Rev.: under the ducal mitre, a nine-field coat of arms with ornaments; on both sides of the shield letters D - K. Above the mitre, separated date numerals 16 - 36. In the rim, between the borders, an inscription separated by the mitre and ending with a heart, between the words stars MONETA.NOWA.ARGENTEA.DVCIS.PRVSSIAE, 1636. Ducal Prussia (1525–1701), Königsberg. Coin: diameter 44.7 mm; weight 28.57 g; axis 220°.
