Torun quarter-thaler, Lippe, Hans (mintmaster, 1629–1630), Sigismund III Vasa (king of Poland, 1566–1632) — Half-length portrait of the king to the right, wearing a crown and armour, holding a sword and a royal globus. Rim inscription divided at the top by the king's crown: rosette SIG.III.DG REX.POL.ET.SVEC.MDLRP rosette. Obverse(?) shows Coat of arms of Torun, below it the letters HL. Rim inscription divided at the top by an angel's head and at the bottom by the value marking 1/4 in an oval frame: rosette MON.NO.ARG.CIVIT-THORVNEN.1630 rosette. Dated 1630. Poland, Torun; coin; diameter 29.4 mm; axis 45 degrees.
