Lithuanian grosz, Sigismund I the Old (King of Poland; 1506–1548), R2 (rarity). Obverse: Polish crowned eagle; rim inscription beginning with a trefoil: + SIGISMVNDVS*P*REX*PO*M*D*LITVA. Reverse: Pogon (Lithuanian mounted knight) turned left, below the year 1535 (rendered as 15 - 35); rim inscription divided at the bottom by a shield with the Column coat of arms: ETA.MAG, ID - VCATVS.LITVA. Jagiellon dynasty emblems (eagle, Pogon). Coin struck in Vilnius, Grand Duchy of Lithuania (Poland), 1535. Diameter about 26.2–26.4 mm; weight 2.39 g.
