Ducat minted to commemorate the election of King August II the Strong (King of Poland; 1697–1706, 1709–1733). Maker: Martin Heinrich Omeis (1650–1703). Obverse: At the top a crown with letters D G on its sides; below the crown crossed palm branches and an inscription in five lines: F.AES / EL: IN REG: / POLONIARUM / D.17 / 27 IUN: / A:1697. Reverse: Rider with a baton on a horse galloping to the right; at the bottom left, the letter O. Date: 1697. Place: Saxony, Dresden. Object: coin (ducat). Diameter: 19.7–20 mm. Weight: 3.41 g.
