Pelike with a bulging belly, thick disc-shaped foot, and ribbon-like handles; edge and underside of foot show clay color. Neck decorated with band of straight and inverted palmettes in a zigzag; below scene a meander interrupted by horizontally filled rectangles. Scene A: woman seated on a klismos wearing a finely pleated chiton, diadem, and cloak wrapped around her hips and knees, holding a necklace; to her right a girl leans against a small column; behind her a naked youth with a cloak over his left arm holds a small disc or sphere in his right hand. Scene B: two youths in cloaks flank a stele with a base seen in perspective, a wreath above the stele. Vessel type: pelike; height 29.3 cm, width 21.5 cm.
