Ah! mana pyninga. (The Miser and Death). Czerski, Stanislaw (1777–1833), graphic artist. Moralizing scene depicting rich men, chests, coins, scales, keys, and Death (personification); the engraving was made by Father Stanislaw Czerski in Salanty in Samogitia. As a parish priest, with the help of a young assistant he engraved images of saints with Samogitian inscriptions for his parishioners. Date: 1822–1832. Medium: engraving/graphic; graphic matrix/plate. Dimensions: height 6.7 cm, width 9.6 cm.
